About Position
The role of the Systems Administrator is to maintain and support the computer environments of our clients. Prior experience in identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting will be required to effectively perform this position.
Potential Candidates will have experience in all or most of the following technologies:
- Microsoft Windows Server 200o Deployment and Administration (2003/2008)
- Active Directory Administration
- Microsoft Exchange Deployment and Administration (2007/2010)
- Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Symantec Enterprise Products (Backup Exec, Endpoint Protection, Ghost)
- Linux Administration
- Firewall Administration (Cisco ASA, Watchguard, SonicWall)
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of other enterprise solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
- Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
- Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
